UPHOLDING TRADITION
Why Ecumenical Councils?
​
The Popes and bishops of the CHURCH (Catholic) met in Rome for 20 Ecumenical Councils since the first council of Nicaea in 325 A.E. The word "ecumenical" comes from the Greek word "oikos", meaning "house". So, only the "house of God", only those of the Catholic Church were invited to attend these councils. Religions outside the Church were not invited. In Acts 11:26 St Luke first used the term, "Christian" (Latin~Christiana) which is where the word "Christendom" comes from, (Latin~domus meaning house), thus "house of Christians". So, only the household of Christians in the Catholic Church were invited to these councils. All other religions are outside "ex ecclesiam" the household or Christian Church, the CATHOLIC Church.

The purpose of these councils was two-fold, ONE; to transmit tradition (see chart on page 1) and to identify and expel heresies threatening the sacred traditions of the Church at the time of that council. An outstanding example occurred in the 3rd century, when ARIANISM invaded the Church. Arian theology holds that Jesus Christ, although the Son of God is not DIVINE, not the same nature of Gocd the Father, but merely a creation of God the Father, an after-thought of God. Almost single-handedly, St Athanasius, a great DOCTOR of the Church and bishop of Alexandria in the 4th century stood against this satanic heresy. "MANY" in the Church had succumb to Arianism at the time. This occurred due to the political pressures brought on by high ranking nobles of the Emperor at the time who caved into Arianism at the time. And because Athanasius fight against this false teaching, this heresy, he was persecuted, and exiled 5 times. St Athanasius finally persuaded St Liberius in Rome to denounce Arianism calling it a formal heresy. Once a Pope pronounces something a heresy, it becomes dogmatic and is never lifted. Various "latter-day religious groups" to this day still cling to this heresy, claiming Jesus is merely a creation of God and not God the Son, incarnate, a blasphemy.

ECUMENICAL COUNCILS
All 20 ecumenical councils since the Council of Nicaea up "until Vatican II", maintained and guarded the treasures of tradition of the Church against invading heresies and influences from outside the Church. The Church and these councils upheld the dogma, Ex Ecclesiam nulla salus, that "outside the Church there is no salvation" since Christ established it in 33 A.D. Jesus assigned St Peter and his successors to guard the Church against any false religious teachings from entering into the "house of God" that would infect the teachings in Christ and His apostles. Every heresy that threatened the Church was addressed during these councils and expelled from the Church immediately.
Since it has been established that the original Church was, in fact, the Catholic Church, it follows that it is absolutely necessary that salvation can only be attained by anyone who follows the teachings of Jesus Christ, as He passed these teachings down to His apostles in the Catholic Church while He was in their midst. Therefore, it follows that any deviate from these teachings are outside His Church, i.e., the Catholic Church established at Pentacost.

John XXIII opened Vatican II reading his "Gaudet Mater Ecclesia", Mother Church Rejoices.

"What is needed at the present time is a NEW enthusiasm, a NEW joy and NEW serenity of mind in the unreserved acceptance by all of the entire Christian faith, without forfeiting that accuracy and precision in its presentation which characterized the proceedings of the Council of Trent and the First Vatican Council. What is needed, and what everyone imbued with a truly Christian, Catholic and apostolic spirit craves today, is that this NEW doctrine shall be more widely known, more deeply understood, and more penetrating in its effects on men's NEW moral lives. What is needed is that this certain and immutable doctrine, to which the faithful owe obedience, be studied afresh and reformulated in contemporary NEW terms. For this deposit of faith, or truths which are contained in our time-honored teaching is one thing; the manner in which these truths are set forth (with their meaning preserved intact) is something else."

John XXIII also signed an agreement with Russia to remain silent on speaking out against communism, completely caving into to the evil our Lady of Fatima spoke against in 1917.

LET'S GO BACK TO VATICAN I IN 1869
Pope Pius IX - Convened First Vatican Council in 1869
(cut short by the French Revolution)
Pius IX at Vatican I was the first and only Pope of the Catholic Church to declare himself defined "INFALLIBLE" and all Popes as such. This was not the teaching of the Church for over 1800 years.
Why? Gallicanism was being widely propagated due to the French Revolution in the 18th Century.
"Gallicanism was the theory that the power of monarchs is independent of the power of popes, and that the Church of each country should be under the joint control of the Pope and the monarch. The opposite doctrine is known as Ultramontanism."

"Ultramontanism ~ a dweller beyond the mountains (ultra montes), beyond the Alps. The term "ultramontane" away from Rome, i.e., the French, the Germans, all countries north of the Alps. In the Middle Ages, when a non-Italian pope was elected he was said to be a papa ultramontano. '"
During the First Vatican Council in 1870, Pope Pius IX attacked Gallicanism.

John XXIII in 1962, as well as all his successors up to and including Pope Francis, knew that, like Peter, all successors of Peter had final say and magisterial authority over the entire worldwide Church, and that nothing should be changed from what previous Popes have declared as dogma and magisterial perenial teachings of the Church, including the Mass.
When John XXIII died in 1963, Cardinal Montini was elected to the papal office and assumed the name Paul VI, referred to as "Father of Ecumenism". It was Paul VI who created the NEW Novus Ordo Missae, a "new" mass out of thin air, and said all Catholics must adopt the NEW Novus Ordo Mass from then on; another heresy. He must have forgotten this:
"... though an angel from heaven preaches a gospel besides that which we have preached to you, let him be anathema. As we said before, so now I say again: If any one preach to you a gospel, besides that which you have received, let him be anathema." Galatians 1:8-9
WOULD THIS RENDER THE CHURCH DEFECTIBLE?
Fast forward twenty years to John Paul II who said in the Angelus Address, Oct. 12, 1986:
“In a few days we shall go to Assisi, representatives of the Catholic Church, along with other 'Christian Churches'(Protestants) and the great religions of the world (Jews, Muslims, Buddhist,
Hindus, Shintus, all; I issued this invitation to ‘believers of ALL religions.'”
On Oct. 27, 1986, John Paul II prayed with over 100 different religious leaders of various false religions, thereby repudiating the teaching of Scripture and the 2000-year teaching of the Catholic Church outlawing prayer with false religions. The entire day of prayer with the pagans, infidels, and heretics was John Paul II’s idea and they came at his invitation. During this meeting, the Dalai Lama placed a Buddhist statue on the tabernacle in the Church of St. Francis. Among the various false religious leaders at Assisi, there were Jewish rabbis, Islamic muftis, Buddhist monks, Shintoists, assorted Protestant ministers, Animists, Jainists and others. During the meeting, a member of each false religion came forward and offered a prayer for peace." Why did he do this? Read on~

Two months after the 1986 Assisi event, in a Christmas speech to his Cardinals published in the Vatican’s L’Osservatore Romano, John Paul II said;
“The day of Assisi, showing the Catholic Church holding hands with our brothers (?) of other religions, was a visible expression of [the] statements of the Second Vatican Council. ”

Paul VI on 12th January 1966: "In view of the pastoral nature (?) of Vatican II Council, it avoided any extraordinary statements of dogmas endowed with the note of infallibility but it still provided its teaching with the authority of the Ordinary Magisterium which must be accepted with docility according to the mind of the Council concerning the nature and aims of each document."

Let's compare to what Pope Pius XI decreed in 1928; Mortalium Animos to Paul VI in 1986.

“For which reason conventions, meetings and addresses are frequently arranged by these persons, at which a large number of listeners are present, and at which all without distinction are invited to join in the discussion, both infidels of every kind, and Christians. Certainly such attempts can no wise be approved by Catholics, founded as they are on that false opinion which considers all religions to be more or less good and praiseworthy. Not only are those who hold this opinion in error and deceived, but distorting the idea of true religion they reject it.”

“So, Venerable Brethren, it is clear why this Apostolic See has never allowed its subjects to take part in the assemblies of non-Catholics…”

"Those who hold such a view fall into an open error; they also reject the true Religion; they distort its tenets and fall gradually into Naturalism and Atheism. Therefore, it is perfectly evident that one who joins with the partisans and propagators of similar doctrine abandons entirely the divinely revealed Religion.”

Pope Pius XI was transmitting tradition~teachings of the Church over the centuries.

"If any ecclesiastic or layman shall go into the synagogue of the Jews or to the meeting-houses of the heretics to join in prayer with them, let them be deposed and deprived of communion. If any bishop or priest or deacon shall join in prayer with heretics, let him be suspended from communion.

"We decree that those who give credence to the teachings of the heretics, as well as those who receive, defend or patronize them, are excommunicated. [...] If anyone refuses to avoid such accomplices after they have been ostracized by the Church, let them also be excommunicated."

"That Christians and ecclesiastics should pray for Christian unity under the direction of heretics and, what is worse, according to an intention which is radically impregnated and vitiated with heresy, is absolutely impossible to tolerate!" (Pope Pius XI)
"One must neither pray nor sing psalms with heretics, and whoever shall communicate with those who are cut off from the communion of the Church, whether clergy or layman: let him be excommunicated." (Council of Carthage)

POPE LEO XIII
Pope Leo XIII who reigned from 1878 until 1903, was one of the greatest Popes since the Protestant Revolution of the 15th century. In 1888 Pope Leo XIII experienced something few have in all the history of the Church. His experience is outlined below by clicking on the picture of Pope Leo XIII and St Michael the Archangel. This experience shed light on the situation in modern Rome today.

WHY READ ALL THIS INFORMATION?

Jesus foretold an apostasy would occur to His Church in the "last days", a term many refuse to acknowledge. At times like this the world lacks clear answers from the central magisterium of Christ's Vicar in Rome. The laity of the Catholic Church all over the world have had to find ways to make sense of what's going on, in and outside the Church. Many have had to study and research these matters much like what I've done here putting together this website. The limited number of traditional priests in our country and around the world are overwhelmed with liturgical and pastoral responsibilities with little time to provide catechesis (religious instruction) to the laity in their flock. Many have had fend for themselves with the help of God to find answers according to Church tradition. Many have come to realize that we very well may be facing the end times, the very time Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24. Jesus also said at Matthew 26:31 that when the shepherd is struck, the sheep will scatter. The Catholic Church remains safe but Vatican II has caused the sheep to be scattered all over the world in a crisis unlike any time in history. We need to do our homework.

CATHOLICS ~ JEWS

The Jews reject that Jesus is God the Son, the second person of the Holy Trinity thus they deny He is God. Therefore, the God of the Jews is not the same God as the God of Christians. Who then is the God of Jews? Lucifer, satan the devil rejected God long before humans were created on earth and for that he was thrown out of heaven forever. Lucifer convinced a third of all the angels in heaven to reject God and then got Eve, then Adam to reject God as well by getting her to believe God lied to her and got her to believe she could be a god herself. (Genesis 3:4-5)
Matthew 23:31-38
"[31] Wherefore you are witnesses against yourselves, that you are the sons of them that killed the prophets. [32] Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. [33] You serpents, generation of vipers, how will you flee from the judgment of hell? [34] Therefore behold I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them you will put to death and crucify, and some you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city: [35] That upon you may come all the just blood that hath been shed upon the earth, from the blood of Abel the just, even unto the blood of Zacharias the son of Barachias, whom you killed between the temple and the altar.
[36] Amen I say to you, all these things shall come upon this generation. [37] Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered together thy children, as the hen doth gather her chickens under her wings, and thou wouldest not? [38] Behold, your house (Jews) shall be left to you, desolate (abandoned to you)."
The Jews not only reject Jesus as Messiah, but they reject the entire Old Testament that contains over 360 prophesies clearly pointing to Jesus as the Christ, God the Son. ANYONE, Jews or otherwise, who rejects Jesus as the Messiah, the Christ, are God's enemies. Jesus, by saying, "your house is abandoned to you", was referring to the entire nation of Israel for rejecting The Jews today are not the descendants of Abraham or King David. The apostle St John quoted Jesus talking with a group of Jewish Pharisees @ John 8:44, "...you are of their father, the devil."

"If you are not for me, you are against me." (Matthew 12:30)
Jews must first accept Jesus Christ as Messiah, convert to Catholicism and be baptized to be saved. Jesus established His Church in Jerusalem at Pentecost and made it clear that this new Church, a new covenant, a new royal nation, a new priesthood was the only means of salvation. So, whether someone is a Jew, Protestants, Muslims, Buddhists, etc., they first must convert to Christ Church to enter the kingdom of God. Catholics' only aim is to extend this gospel to anyone who hungers and thirsts for the truth of Christ and His apostles.

Any who do not wish to hear or accept the gospel of Jesus, that He is God incarnate, the Messiah, the Son of the living God, Catholics can only pray for them to open their minds and hears.

Pope St Gregory VII was forced to speak against the Jews of Spain in 1081 to King Alphonso VI,
“You must cease to allow Jews to rule over Christians, for to allow Christians to be subject to their judgment is the same as to oppress God’s Church and to exalt the Synagogue of Satan.
To wish to please the enemies of Christ means to treat Christ Himself with contempt.”

TEARS OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Our Lady's tears are not of joy at what she revealed in Fatima in 1917 to three shepherds children. She weeps as she sees millions of souls being dragged to hell by God's enemy, lucifer, satan the devil, along with his evil instruments on earth, enemies of God, Jews, Freemasons, Modernists and Communists, all infiltrating society in general and the Catholic Church. But in the end, The Blessed Virgin Mary's Heart will triumph over God's enemies. [See page 12]

THIS IS THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE
John 17:3
"This is eternal life; that they may know the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

St Thomas Aquinas, the angelic Doctor of the Church, one of, if not, the most revered theologians of the entire history of the Catholic Church made it clear in his work 'Catena Aurea" commenting on John 17:3 that it's not enough to just 'know' who God is, but that we know how to separate the wheat (truth) from the cockle (chaff) the false. (Matt. 13:24-25) Why? It literally means our everlasting life. We get one chance at this to get it right. The consequences for being wrong is far more dangerous then we an imagine.​

ASK YOURSELF: Is it possible we are, in fact, living in "THE LAST DAYS" before He comes again? He said there would not only be problems around the world with wars, famines, food shortage, lawlessness and even natural catastrophes like earthquakes and severe flooding around the world, BUT there would be a GREAT APOSTASY within the very Church He established with Peter on earth. There would be a "man of sin and lawlessness" that would arise to mislead Christ flock, a wolf in sheep's clothing; one who would look like a great shepherd-teacher like Peter but puts forth heresies.
Why not do some research on your own, review page 11 on this website and examine the short library of reference material available for study. Don't assume you know all that is necessary.
Psalms 118:109, "Our life is in our hands..." God has given us His grace in these hard times. All we need to do is to take advantage of these provisions.
Choose wisely
Our Lord Jesus Christ made it clear that SATAN the devil is the god of this world and he has blinded people's minds to the truth. To dismiss the reality of this would be a fatal mistake.
